I spent two days with Ken and Howard working with their agent-based modelling tool "Modelling4All". Despite the fact that I didn't know much about NetLogo (the language it runs in) or Modelling4All itself, Howard and Ken helped me to understand the language and guided me. I ended up working on improving a previous intern's project (Maria Marinari's exoplanet modeller: https://sites.google.com/site/modelling4allproject/projects/exoplanet-progect), by attempting to automate (to some extent) the input of different solar systems into the model using NASA data. The uses of Modelling4All vary significantly due to its design, as you code for the individual "agent" and its reaction to the environment and other agents, not the program as a whole; Modelling4All has great potential to be used in many fields of research through simulation. This is the finished product. https://m4a-gae.appspot.com/m/?frozen=zQifPuS6gRV0vBXiGPl44a&MforAllModel=1 |
